Tucker, GA

Tucker Georgia, located about 15 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta, in the DeKalb county. Just between the City of Stone Mountain to the south and Gwinnett County to the north, with Interstate 285 to the west. It is one of the largest and oldest unincorporated communities in the state. Known as the City of “Sevens” Tuckers downtown is seven miles from a handful of neighboring cities, as well as being home to the seven Tucker Cluster schools.

Outdoor events held on Main Street are a central part of the community for numerous residents. Tucker is also the home of the Discover DeKalb, which markets and promotes all of DeKalb’s attractions to visitors.

The Tucker Farmers Market brings together area farmers and artisans to offer their fresh produce and creative arts and crafts to the community. The market is open every Thursday from April 5 to December 19th.
Northlake Mall has been serving the communities of Tucker, Decatur, Stone Mountain and the Northlake Community for over 40 years. Northlake Mall. The mall is conveniently located off I-285 between LaVista Road and Northlake Parkway on Briarcliff Road. Northlake provides access to fashion retailers such as Macy’s and JCPenney as well as specialty stores such as Champs, Kay and others that offer athletic shoes, fine jewelry, electronics and cell phones. When you’re ready for a break from shopping, stop by the Food Garden to enjoy a meal at Cozy Burger, Tokyo Express or American Deli before grabbing dessert at Great American Cookie Company.

There is always something happening in the City of Tucker! Whether it’s a fun run, a street festival or our popular July 3 fireworks show, thousands of people descend on Tucker to have some fun and celebrate their community.
